Top
quality Tibetan
bracelet made of 3 delicately carved yak bone slips. The center larger square
slip carved with Srivatsa (the
endless knot, also called love
net, one of the famous Tibetan 8 Auspicious symbols), with each side of 27 mm.
The two
side slips adorned with Tibetan Auspicious symbols as well. To make a symbol,
the craftsman first cut the yak bone into small blocks and then sand them down
by hand; then the yak bone is dyed a dark brown using tea; the last step is to
hand carve the symbol onto it. Making such a yak bone slip requires a long and
tedious process. BTW, the bracelet can
be fastened by using a slide bead, very easy to adjust! The
eight Auspicious Symbols
